Glennyss (Hinchey) Holland was born at Sayre, Oklahoma March 13, 1946 to Henry and Alma (Frantz) Hinchey of Texola, Oklahoma.

During Glennyss’ first year of life the family moved to Erick, Oklahoma where she has resided ever since. She passed away at her home on December 23, 2019. Glennyss attended school at Erick all twelve years, graduating May 15, 1964. She married her high school sweetheart Steven Ray Holland the next night May 16, 1964 at the First Baptist Church in Erick. They had three children, Todd, Darren and Teka. She and Steven celebrated 43 years of marriage prior to his passing in December 2007. They had a farrowing and feeder pig operation for a few years until they could get into farm and cattle. She was mostly a housewife and helpmate to her husband. She had a few jobs outside the home at Cal’s Café, The Dixie Store, WestOaks Industries, The Oklahoma Visitors Information center as well as owning and operating the City Flower Shop for a few years. Glennyss was a seamstress and enjoyed many hobbies such as stained glass, flower arrangements, crocheting and the usually clean house along with her three meals on the table. She was a caregiver to many including her husband Steven until his passing. Glennyss was a longtime member of the Erick First Baptist Church and volunteered at many of the church functions.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Steven Ray Holland; parents, Henry and Alma Hinchey; infant son, Darren.

Glennyss is survived by 1 son, Todd Holland, Erick, OK; 1 daughter Teka Holland and partner, T. J. Smith, Erick, OK; 1 special daughter-in-law, Patricia Robertson and husband Jody, Erick, OK; 4 grandchildren, Craig and wife Krista Holland, Sayre, OK, Colby and wife Hannah, Erick, OK, Alycia Parker and Brooklyn Parker, Weatherford, OK; 4 great granddaughters, 2 great grandsons; 1 sister Mary Joyce and husband Jerry, Lindsay, OK and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 27, 2019 at the First Baptist Church of Erick, Oklahoma with Bro. Charlie Floyd officiating. 

Burial will follow at the Erick Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Fatheree-Albert Funeral Home, Erick, OK.
