Russell L "Russ" Scroggins

Russell "Russ" Scroggins, 31, of Edmond, Oklahoma was born March 13, 1953 in Sayre, Oklahoma to Jack and Eloise Burden Scroggins. He passed from this life Monday, March 26, 1984 in Edmond.

He graduated from Cheyenne High School in 1971.

On May 7, 1977 he was married to Teresa Higgins in Oklahoma City.

They had made their home in Edmond, Oklahoma for the past year where he was employed by the International Fitness Center.

He attended the First Baptist Church of Edmond.

Preceding him in death were his father Jack in 1982; and his grandfather, Earl L. Scroggins, Sr., in 1955.

Survivors include his wife, Teresa, of the home; one daughter, April Dawn of the home; one son, Derek Russell of the home; his mother, Mrs. Eloise Scroggins of Woodward, Oklahoma; two brothersm Terrell Scroggins of Crawford, Oklahoma; and Chris Scroggins of Woodward, Oklahoma; two sisters, Deborah Smith of Woodward, Oklahoma; and Jackie Lee Scroggins of Hinton, Oklahoma; his grandparents, Mrs. Anita Scroggins of Cheyenne; and Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Burden of Sayre, Oklahoma; and other relatives and friends.

Memorial services were conducted Wednesday morning, March 28, 1984, in the Baggerly Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 a.m. with graveside services and interment in the Sayre-Doxey Cemetery, Sayre, Oklahoma at 2:00 p.m. the same day. In charge of local arrangements were Rose Chapel Funeral Services of Sayre.
