June Sanders

June Sanders was born January 23, 1924 to Edith G. and James Soloman Sanders. She passed away September 30, 2014 at Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 90 years, 8 months and 7 days.

June lived in Chicago, Illinois for many years where she was a Hand Model and also worked as a Manicurist at The Drake Hotel. She later returned to Oklahoma and made her home in Sayre. June was a faithful member of the Trinity Fellowship of Sayre.

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant sister and 4 additional sisters, Wanda Gail Gibson, Fern Davis, Marie DeValle and Geton Brayton.

She is survived by her a sister, Cumile Smith, several nieces, nephews, and, a host of other family, friends and her extended family at Trinity Fellowship.

Visitation will be at Rose Chapel of Sayre on Thursday, October 2, from 9 am to 5 pm. Graveside services will be held Friday, October 3, 2014 at 10:00 am at the Sayre-Doxey Cemetery officiated by Andy Taylor. Arrangements are under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service of Sayre.
