SAYRE - The funeral for Dovie Alexander, 91, will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Sayre First Baptist Church.  Albert Warnken and Tom Cooksey will officiate.  burial will be in Sayre-Doxey Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Rose Chapel Funeral Service.

She was born June 21, 1911, in Gainesville, Texas to Louisea Burns and Charles Fitzpatrick and died Tuesday, July 9, 2002, at Golden Age Nursing Home in Guthrie.

She came to Oklahoma in 1931 to visit her oldest brother and met John Alexander whom she married in Amarillo, Texas.  They moved to a farm west of Sayre.  She was an active member of Sayre First Baptist Church and the senior citizens.

Surviving are two grandchildren, John Winters of Guthrie and Robert Winters of Broken Arrow.

She was preceded in death by husband in 1974, one daughter and 17 brothers and sisters.
