Leon Glenn Daniels was born in Newcastle, TX, on February 16, 1935, to T.A. and Arthela Daniels.  He passed away on December 31, 2020.  Leon was a member of the Duncanville, TX, Church of Christ where he was baptized.
 

Leon and his first wife Linda had two children, Larry and Arvin.  Larry passed away in 1977.  Linda passed away in 1982.

Leon and his wife Edna had one daughter, Tonya.

Leon married Nora Sue on July 10, 1993.  They made their home in Irving, TX, where he worked at A&L sheet metal with his son Arvin.

In 2005 he retired and moved to Carter, OK.  Leon had a stroke in 2018 and had to be moved to the Bell Avenue Retirement Center.
 

His is survived by his wife: Nora Sue of Carter, OK, his son:  Arvin and wife Carla Daniels of Midlothian, TX, his daughter:  Tonya and husband Pete Castillo of Grand Prairie, TX.; 3 stepchildren:   Brenda and husband Nelson Britton of Carter, OK, Carl and wife Debbie Wimberly of  Carter, OK, Gina and husband Mark Britton of Carter, OK.  From Leon’s 3 children he is survived by 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.  From Leon’s step-children he is survived by 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren as well as a host of many other relatives and longtime friends and neighbors.   
 

Leon is preceded in death by his parents, 7 brothers and 2 sisters.


Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM, Thursday, January 7, 2021, at Carter Cemetery with Joel Rippetoe officiating. 

Visitation will be held Tuesday and Wednesday, January 5th and 6th from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM at Rose Chapel, Sayre.
