Mitchell Alexander Brown was born February 6, 1979 in Elk City, Oklahoma to LaDonna Jean and Craig Lee Brown. He passed away April 19, 2017 at Minerva, Ohio at the age of 38 years, 2 months and 13 days.

Mitch grew up in Sayre, Oklahoma and moved with his family to Germany, Round Rock, Texas and Carter, Oklahoma where he graduated from high school in 1997. After graduation he attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University and later moved to Bedford, Texas and attended the Johnson County Fire Academy completing the academy in 1999. Mitch was married to Melissa Brown on July 7, 2000 and to this marriage 3 children were born: Chase, Aiden and Abigail. After their marriage they lived in Texas and Oklahoma where he worked numerous jobs in the oil fields. Mitch later found himself in Oklahoma City where he overcame many obstacles and was able to come out on top. It was through these times in his life that made him a better man and was able to help others. Mitch loved to do good deeds for people without recognition, riding motorcycles, fishing and hunting but his passion in life was his children and spending time with them. He was also a member of the Preach Unto Them Jesus Church.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Gene and Lavetta Brown, Jarrell Porter; step grandparents, Clyde Patrick and Margaret Vaught; step brother, Cody Vaught and 2 uncles.

He is survived by his 3 children, Chase, Aiden and Abigail Brown, all of Elk City, OK; his parents, Craig Brown and wife, Laura, Ft. Worth, Texas and LaDonna Vaught and husband, Lynn, Carter, OK; his sister, Heather Rutherford and husband, David, Elk City, OK; step brothers, Rodney Vaught and wife, Melissa, Willow, OK and Colter Vaught, Sayre, OK; grandparents, Joe and Louise Paty, Carter, OK and Gay Patrick, Irving, TX, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
