Mary Leigh was born February 6, 1956 in Elk City, Oklahoma to Tom and Veona (Hemphill) Wooldridge. She passed away January 26, 2018 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 61 years, 11 months and 20 days.

Mary, a devoted mother and grandmother, loved the lord Jesus Christ with all of her heart. Mary was born February 6, 1956 to Thomas and Veona Wooldridge in Elk City, OK. She grew up in Elk city with her parents and brother, John Wooldridge and went to school at Merritt. After graduating high school she went to Texas to go to college for interior design.  She met Bill Leigh, fell in love and got married and started planning a family. She had 7 children; Nathan, Rachel, Hannah, Matthew, Jessica, Andrew, and Daniel. Mary always made sure that her children had everything they needed and then some. She would do everything she could to help anyone and everyone with the kindest of hearts and a smile on her face.  In March of 1994 she lost her dad but she made sure that her mother had everything she needed no matter what. In July of 2000 she lost her mother standing next to her holding her hand. That was a trying time for her. April 7, 2001 her son went to be with Jesus at the age of 12. Heartbroken, losing a son so young, Mary went on to work in the insurance field. She loved her job and what she did helping people in anyway she could.  She was so delighted and excited to find out she was going to be a grandmother. Hannah, giving her the first grand baby, a beautiful little girl Leandra. Mary was over the top when she had 2 more grand babies. Hannah, having a handsome little boy, Andrew and Jessica, having a handsome little boy, Ryan who after he was born had to stay 2 months in the hospital. She never left his side. Then came 2 beautiful little twin girls, Allison who went right to heaven and Ali being so tiny only weighing 1 1/2 lbs being in the hospital Mary was right there. Then came 2 little boys, Leland and Logan and 4 more little girls; Cherish, Violet, Constance and Lily. In July of 2015, Violet her grand baby went to heaven. Mary said the most beautiful tribute to her grand daughter. Mary and her fiancé Matt were a big part of her children’s and grandchildren’s, son-in-laws, daughter-in-laws lives, always going to the kids school plays and birthdays and anything that they were in, cheering them on. You never had to question if she was going to be there. She was, with a smile on her face and always making sure everyone was having a good time. She had a lot of funny voices and silly things to say but that was her all the way. She always had big dreams. One of them was she was going to open a place where people could go in and have help that they needed fixing their teeth for people who couldn’t afford it. She was always looking for ways to help people anyway she could. With everything that she went through she never stopped trusting in God no matter what.  On December 31st Mary went to the ER and found out she had the flu with other things. On top of that she was sent to Oklahoma City and was at St. Anthony’s for a few days in ICU then being sent to Integris Baptist where she fought a hard fight. On January 26, 2018 Mary went to be with Jesus, her parents, son and grand babies. She will be missed but never forgotten as a loving mother, grandmother, fiancé, sister, aunt and friend.

She is preceded in death by parents, a son, Andrew Leigh, 2 granddaughters, Allison Leigh and Violet Leigh, and 2 twin brothers, Michael and Gabriel.

She is survived by her children, Nathan Leigh of Mustang, OK, Rachel Leigh of Gracey, KY, Hannah Weldon of Elk City, OK, Matthew Leigh and wife, Emily, of Clinton, OK, Jessica Vinson and husband, Kaleb, of Mustang, OK, Daniel Leigh and wife, Nimid, of Arapaho, OK; her fiance, Matthew Rogers of Lawton, OK; 9 grandchildren, Leandra, Andrew and Cherish Weldon, Ryan and Ali Vinson, Leland Hughes, Constance Leigh, Logan Leigh, Lily Leigh; a brother, John Wooldridge and host of other relatives and friends.
