Donald Earl "Don" Gordon was born November 14, 1933 in Mayfield, Oklahoma to Viola Teresa and Delton Richard Gordon. He passed away October 31, 2011 at Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 77 years, 11 months and 17 days.

Don grew up in the Mayfield community and graduated from Sweetwater High School, after graduating in 1952, he married Cloe Ellen Fuchs and started a family. He worked in Borger, Texas and Lawton, Oklahoma before returning to Mayfield in 1959 to farm and raise their family, Pam, Phil and Kent. In 1969 Stacey was born and Don started working in the oilfield.

He was married to Fern Lavelle (Garrett) Gordon at Lubbock, Texas on July 25, 1987.

He was a member of the Second and Adams Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 1 brother, D. R. Gordon, Jr., and 3 Sisters, Johnnie Homesley, Janie Bruner, Edna Cooper.

He is survived by his 4 Children, Pam Hagerman and husband, Clifford, Canute, OK; Phil Gordon and wife, Deb, Elk City, OK; Kent Gordon and wife, Kathy, Elk City, OK; Stacey Glasscock and husband, Craig, Edmond, OK; 2 Step-Daughters, Cheryl Rosson and husband Ronnie, Lubbock, TX; Vicki Dalrymple and husband, Kent, Lubbock, TX; 1 Step Son, Lee Butler and wife, Julie, Allen, TX; 3 Sisters, Betty Tipton and husband, Frank, Borger, TX; Bobbie Nix, Amarillo, TX; Bernice Jones, Elgin, OK; Sister-In-Law, Colleen Gordon, Erick, OK; 13 Grandchildren, Melissa McAtee, Shelton Hagerman, Delton Gordon, Chris Gordon, Kyle Gordon, Daniel Gordon, Matthew Gordon, Evan Canady, Aaron Canady, Casie Butler Devitt, Ashley Butler, Joshua Dalrymple, Amy Dalrymple, 12 Great Grandchildren, Corey, Shayna, Collin, Alexis, Kelton, Keegan, Kelby, Kameron, Tucker, Hunter, Brendan, Kyleigh, Friend, Ezell Harrington, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Service:
Services held Friday, November 4, 2011 at 11:00 AM the Second and Adams Church of Christ with Tom Harguess officiating. Burial at Buffalo Cemetery under the direction of Whinery-Savage Funeral Service.
