Vernon F. "Barney" Baker

June 29, 1931 ~ November 30, 2005

Funeral services for Vernon Baker  were held Wednesday, Decenber 7, 2005 at Fellowship Baptist Church in Perryton with Wes Stevens officiating. Burial was in Gray Cemetery in Balko, Oklahoma, under the direction of Boxwell Brothers funeral Home.

He was born June 29, 1931 to Wilburn H. and Doleta (Gross) Baker and died November 30, 2005 at the age of 74.

He worked for Stromberg-Carlson Telephone Company as an installer for over 30 years, before retiring in Billings, Montana.

Preceding him  in death were his parents, Wilburn H. and Doleta (Gross) Baker.

Surviving him are three sons, Brent V. BAKER of Lake Jackson, Stephen BAKER of Bearcreek, North Carolina and Phillip BAKER of Kansas City, Missouri; two daughters, Redana NAREG of Riverside, California and Dion Michelle SANDOVAl of Mather, California; three brothers, Leroy BAKER of Perryton, Edwin R. BAKER of Sugarland and Harrison Dewayne BAKER of Amarillo; one sister, Dora Mae GREEN of Kernyville, West Virginia; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
