Eugene Debs Baker

July 20, 1906 ~ June 19, 1997

Eugene Debs Baker, 90, of Perryton, died June 19, 1997.

Funeral services for Eugene Baker were held Monday, June 23, 1997 at Fellowship Baptist Church with Rev. John Durham officiating. Burial was in Gray Cemetery under the direction of Boxwell Brothers.

He was born July 20, 1906 in Gray, Oklahoma and died June 19, 1997 at the age of 90.

He was a lifetime resident of Perryton. He married Flora Mae TESTERMAN on December 15, 1956 in Clovis, New Mexico.

He was a grain elevator operator for 25 years, retiring in 1976.

Survivors include his wife, Flora, of the home; four sons, Billy Baker of Kittery Point, Maine, Danny Baker of Alturas, California, David Baker of Midland and Ronnie Savage of Amarillo; three daughters, Norma Thompson of Elk City, Oklahoma, Patricia Wellman of Kremlin, Oklahoma, and Wanda Atchison of Perryton; two step-sons, Don Savage of Yukon, Oklahoma and Roy Savage of Amarillo; three step-daughters, Ann Holloway of Gordonville, and Leta Parsons and Juanita Kyle, both of Amarillo; one brother, Chester Baker of Arapahoe, Colorado; one sister, Opal Smith of Lamar, Colorado; 34 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Flora Mae Katherine (Testerman) Baker

PERRYTON - Flora Mae Katherine Baker , 91, died Monday, Feb. 19, 2007, in Whitesboro.

Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Gray Cemetery in Gray, Okla., with the Rev. Wes Stevens officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Perryton. Mrs. Baker was born April 7, 1915, in Prosper. She married Eugene Debs Baker on Dec. 15, 1956, in Clovis, N.M.

Survivors include four sons, Roy Savage and Ronnie Lee Savage, both of Amarillo, Donald L. Savage of El Reno, Okla., and David Gene Baker of Pflugerville; five daughters, Lelia Ann Blackburn of Gordonville, Leta Mae Parsons and Dolly Marcella Crawford, both of Amarillo, Juanita Dee Sartain of Liberty Hill, and Wanda Sue Atchison of Perryton; a stepdaughter, Norma Thompson of Elk City, Okla.; a stepson, Danny Baker of Alturas, Calif; 21 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Fellowship Baptist Church, P.O. Box 312, Perryton, TX 79070 or a favorite charity.
