George Leon Kost

November 2, 1940 ~ June 24, 2017

George Leon Kost, 76-year-old resident of Turpin, OK, passed from this life on June 24, 2017 in Vici, OK. George was born November 2, 1940 in Lincoln, AR to Glenn and Irene (Barker) Kost. He attended grade school in Arkansas and then later attended high school in Liberal Kansas. George married Verdi Lu Zirkle and to this union three children were born Kary, Robin, Kay. The family lived in Arkansas and Arizona for a short period before moving to Gate, OK. George was a self-employed carpenter and loved to fish in his spare time.

George is preceded in death by his wife Verdie Kost, daughter Robin Campbell, parents Glenn and Irene Kost, two brothers Ralph and Richard Kost, two sisters Glenna Mayer and Mary Ann Musgrave.

He is survived by his son Kary Don Kost; daughter Kay Susan Stevens of Arnett, OK; two brothers Warren Kost of Liberal, KS and Marvin Kost of El Paso, TX; many nieces, nephews, extended family, and a host of friends.
