Lonnie Wayne Tabor, 76, passed away on Friday, August 17, 2018 at his home, surrounded by his family. Viewing and visitation will be held on Monday, from 12:00pm to 8:00pm with family greeting guests from 6-8pm at Dighton Marler Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at 10:00am at River of Life Church in Perkins with Pastor Andrew Payne and Pastor Don Russell officiating. Interment will follow at Perkins Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Dighton Marler Funeral Home.

Lonnie was born on September 11, 1941 in Stillwater, OK and lived in surrounding communities, such as Glencoe and Perkins. He graduated from Glencoe High School in 1959. He was a long-time resident of Perkins, Ok and moved to Stillwater in 2006.
He met Judith Rylant and married her on June 1, 1961 in Perkins, OK. Lonnie and Judy worked and owned several grocery stores, such as Palace Red Bud Groceries in Fairfax and then Del-Mars Grocery Store in Perkins until retiring in 1995.
He loved spending time with his family, making knives, gardening and attending River of Life Church where he was a deacon, taught Sunday School for many years, and was also the Christian Education Director. Lonnie enjoyed telling stories and providing knowledge to others. He was always there to lend a hand to anyone who needed it and always had a smile and words of wisdom to share.

Lonnie is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Judith Tabor; one son Tony Tabor of Scottsdale, AZ; one daughter Dianna and husband Daryl Ross of Maumelle, AR (previously Stillwater, OK); grandson Kenneth Ross, wife Katie, and great-grand daughter Luna of St. George, UT, and granddaughter Kourtney Ross of Edmond, OK. he is also survived by his in-laws, Joe and Vicki Rylant, Bob and Dolores Rylant, Penni and Dwayne Deaver, Marty and Crecia Rylant, Kim Wright, Pam and Larry Taylor, Kelly and Brad Hart, Nikki and Felipe Lozano, Shannon Perry, Marylin Rodgers and Tricia Rodgers.

He was preceded in death by his parents J.G. and Juanita Tabor, one brother Roy, two sisters Shirley Tabor and Janice Rodgers, and one son Victor Ray Tabor.

Pallbearers will be Dwayne Deaver, Kenneth Ross, Marty Rylant, Austin Deaver, Michael Miller and Casey McCullough.

Memorial contributions can be made in his name to the River of Life Church c/o Dighton Marler Funeral Home, 5106 N. Washington St. Stillwater, Oklahoma 74075.
