Dennis Earl Gabbart, age 67, was an Atoka, OK resident. He was born on Saturday, January 24, 1959, to Rowland Louis and Elva Jo-Ann (Pitts) Gabbart, in Durant, OK. Dennis passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2026 in Denison, TX. He graduated from Atoka High School before attending East Central University in Ada. Dennis was a hair stylist in his own shop and worked in different places. In his early years, Dennis was a very talented basketball player. As an Atoka Wampus Cat, he had many triple doubles during his high school career. He was a huge OKC Thunder fan. As a Hair Artist, he had a passion for making people look good and feel good about their hair color and style. He also loved all types of music and had a special talent for identifying bands and performers who were going to make it big. He enjoyed going to concerts and listening to his favorite musicians.
Dennis is survived by his mother, Jo-Ann Gabbart of Daisy, OK; brothers, Billy Gabbart and wife Brenda of Daisy, OK, Teddy Gabbart and wife Amy of Caddo, OK; nieces and nephews, Amanda Peterson and husband Nathan of Durant, OK, Matthew Gabbart and wife Brette of Pottsboro, TX, Ashton Gabbart and Amanda Ravotti of Dallas, TX, Alexis Gabbart and husband Yaman Kharsa of Carrollton, TX, Adyson Gabbart and Malik Downs of Caddo, OK; along with great nieces, nephews, and many other dearly loved friends and loved ones.
Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Rowland Louis Gabbart; maternal grandparents, Carl and Iva Jane Pitts; paternal grandparents, Louis Earl "Ted" and Josie Gabbart; stepdaughter, Cassie Barnsdale; along with aunts and uncles.
