Clark Funeral Service, Inc

Funeral Services for Thomas D. “Tom” Hankins, 55, of Tishomingo will be held on Monday, Maya 3, 2010 at 11:00 a. m. in the Clark Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jon Smith officiating.

Interment will follow in the Green Meadow Cemetery in Atoka, Oklahoma. Mr. Hankins passed away on Thursday, April 20th at his home.

Tom was born on May 7, 1954 in Oklahoma City to David Eugene Hankins and Helen Wanda Gray Hankins. He graduated from high school in OKC and later attended Murray State College. He married Connie Pierce on April 30, 1982 in Tishomingo. Tom worked in law enforcement most of his life and was associated with the Tishomingo Police Department and Johnston County Sheriff’s Department, from which he retired.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Michael and a sister, Linda.

Tom is survived by his wife Connie, of the home; his son, Thomas Hankins, Jr. & wife Mona of Tishomingo; his daughter, Julie Miranda & husband Joe of Ft. Hood, Texas; two brothers, Larry Hankins of Choctaw, OK and Gary Hankins of Del City, OK; three grandchildren, Isaiah & Elijiah Miranda and Ethan Hankins; numerous nieces and nephews to include, Larry Hankins of the home.

Pallbearers for the service will be: members of the Johnston County Sheriff’s Department and the Tishomingo Police Department: Wayne Kitchens, Vernon Williams, Teddy Lenard, Heath Chappell, Jason Lowe and Ted Woodhead.
