JAMES BENJAMIN ARTERBERRY

Funeral services for James Benjamin Arterberry, a Coalgate resident, will be held (Wednesday) today, March 3, 2010 at 2:00 p.m.at Brown's Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Rev. Delbert White officiating. Burial will be in Farris Cemetery under the direction of Brown's Funeral Service of Coalgate.

Mr. Arterberry was born September 19, 1937 in Bentley, OK to H.D. "Sam" and Leona Bell Bomsburger Arterberry and passed away February 27, 2010 in Coalgate at the age of 72. He attended Farris School, worked as a roofer/construction, was a member of the Gospel Lighthouse Pentecoastal Church of God and loved hunting and fishing with friends, especially Ralph Barron.

Survivors include one sister, Laura Smith and companion George Isom of Coalgate; nieces, Rhonda Eldridge and husband Russell of Atoka, Judy Nichols and husband Reggie of Alderson and Glenda Cross and husband Rocky of Silo; several great nieces, nephews and other relatives and many dear and loved friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Charley Arterberry and nephew Charley David Arterberry.

Casketbearers include Bob Ward, Ronnie Hampton, Robert Hampton, Richard Hampton, Ricky Pelts, and Larry Walker. with Roger Sullenger as honorary casketbearer.
