Estalene Sue (Hicks) Whitmire

Estalene Sue Whitmire was born on December 17, 1946 in Atoka County, OK to Vance and Dorothy Lee (Smith) Hicks and entered the Gates of Heaven on December 10, 2013 in Durant, OK at the age of 66.

Estalene attended school in Kenefic and graduated from Caddo Public Schools. She married Toy Gene Whitmire on July 1, 1967 in Folsom, OK and he preceded her in death on August 21, 1990. Estalene was a loving and dedicated homemaker to her family. She was of the Baptist faith and she enjoyed cooking, crafts and she dearly loved her family especially her grandchildren.

Estalene was preceded in death by her parents Vance and Dorothy Hicks; first husband Toy Gene Whitmire; second husband Ronald Meek and sister Joyce French.

Those loved ones left behind to cherish her memory are her children Tammy Berka and husband Mike of Wade, OK, Rayden Whitmire and wife Schilah of Coleman, OK and Greg Whitmire and wife Nora of Sherman, TX; grandchildren Macy Berka, Coleman Whitmire, Emma Whitmire, Montana Berka, Olyvia Whitmire, Marrah Berka, James Whitmire, Sawyer Whitmire and Callen Whitmire; brothers J.D. Hicks and Richard Hicks and wife Donna; sister Virginia Marshall and numerous nieces, nephews and loving friends.

Services to celebrate Estalene's life will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Folsom Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Rayden Whitmire and Rev. Vic Cook officiating. Interment will follow in Center Hill Cemetery with Jimmy White, Floyd White, Earl White, Kenneth White, Larry Reese, Cameron Conan, Chad Stanley and Wayne Sampson serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday evening from 6-8 PM. Condolences may be sent to the family atwww.brownsfuneralservice.com.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the Folsom Free Will Baptist Church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Brown's Funeral Service, Durant.
