LOLA JOHNSON

Services for Lola Johnson, 89, Ada, are at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Hopewell Free Will Baptist Church, near Kenefic. Revs. Roland Barrick and Victor Cook will officiate. Burial will follow at Center Hill Cemetery, near Kenefic.
Mrs. Johnson died Monday, March 22, 2010, at an Ada nursing home. She was born Jan. 16, 1921, at Lehigh, Okla., to Thomas and Mena Ralston. She graduated from Wapanucka High School in 1938.
She married Alfred Thomas Johnson on June 25, 1938. He preceded her in death on Jan. 30, 1990, after 51 years of marriage. She and her husband owned and operated an upholstery shop in Dallas, Texas, until retirement. They moved to the Kenefic area in 1980 to ranch. Mrs. Johnson moved to Ada in 1991 from Atoka County. She was a member of the Hopewell Free Will Baptist Church and attended the Fittstown United Methodist Church since 1992.
Survivors include three daughters, Barbara Johnson, Ada, Jerry Vinson, Dallas, Texas, and Latrecia Aycock, Broken Arrow; nine grandchildren, Gayle Martindale, Peggy Aycock, Patricia White, Robert Aycock, Christopher Vinson, Lucinda Raines, Sara Sweat, Richard Johnson and Laura O’Donnell; 27 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Grace Nuner, Ada.
She was preceded in death by a son, Roy Dale Johnson, two sisters, Virginia Duke and Ruth Schultz, and a brother, Calvin Ralston.
The family says those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Hopewell Free Will Baptist Church, 1073 S. Hopewell Road, Coleman, OK 73432.
Bearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons
Criswell Funeral Home, Ada, is handling the arrangements.
