MARTHA CHLOE NEEDHAM CROWELL

Martha Chloe Needham Crowell, 85, of Atoka County passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at her home in Talihina. Martha was born December 1, 1925 in Kenefic, OK to Dors Needham and Gracie Alice (Troutman) Needham. Martha married M.H. Crowell February 8, 1941 in Egypt, OK. She lived most of her life in Atoka County until moving to Talihina because of bad health. Martha was of the Baptist Faith, she enjoyed reading her Bible, singing and listening to gospel music, playing dominos, and she loved her phone because she really enjoyed visiting with family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, son Hubert Ray Crowell, parents, four sisters Lola, Dorothy, Willie and Wanda and one brother Earl Ray.
Martha is survived by her son Kenneth Crowell and wife Jo Ann of Coleman, OK, daughter Vera (Crowell) Nelson and husband Arvil of Talihina, sister Laura Galispie of Durant, OK, Grandchildren Renea and Gary Pugh, Kellie and Lewis Cook, Sancie and David Bandy, David and Alisha Crowell, great grandchildren Arvil Lamon, Doug, Harley, Lane,Stasha, Brent, Addison and Drew, sister in laws Wilma Nelson, Virginia Crowell, Johnnie May Needham and Christine Almon and brother in law Sherman Spring, a special domino friend Hazel Dilbeck and numerous relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be 2 PM, Saturday, January 29, 2011 at Hopewell Baptist Church in Kenefic with Bro. Dustin Long officiating and Bro. Randy Tadlock reading the eulogy. Burial will follow at Center Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be great grandsons Harley Crowell, Doug Knapp, Brent Pugh, Lane Bandy, Arvil Lamon Roberts and Drew Crowell. Honorary Pallbearers will be Lewis Cook, Arvil Nelson, Gary Pugh, David Crowell and David Bandy. Arrangements are under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service Durant.
