JOSEPH MILLER


Joseph Miller was born on May 29, 2001 in McAlester, Oklahoma to Salina and Clifford Miller and passed from this life on February 17, 2013 in Bryan County, Oklahoma at the age of 11.
Joseph attended the Durant Intermediate School and he dreamed of playing for the Oklahoma City Thunder Basketball Team. He loved being outdoors with his animals, horses, playing basketball, riding his skateboard and picking on his sisters.
Joseph was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Julia and Joseph Homer; cousin, CJ Rawls; uncle, Emanual Homer; aunt, Irene Heathcock; grandmother, Gayla Walker; great grandmothers, Evelyn Thompson, Martha Miller and Vunda Evans and great grandfather, Clifford Miller.
Joseph is survived by his mother, Salina Miller and husband Eugene of Durant; sisters, Leigh Homer, Elyzabeth Miller and Madison Miller all of Durant; grandmother, Joyce Fults of McAlester, OK; grandfather, Jerry Fults of Durant, OK; grandfather Leroy Miller of Indianola, OK; father, Clifford Miller of McAlester, OK; grandparents Chester and Marie Miller of McAlester, OK; great grandfather, Harrel Evans; uncle, Chester Miller Jr.; aunts, Elizabeth Mick, Shonda Bridge and Denise Schiller and numerous other family and friends.
A celebration of Joseph’s life will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Brown’s Funeral Service in Atoka, Oklahoma. Nathan Scott will officiate. Interment will follow in Coal Creek Cemetery in Atoka County with Nathan Fults, Jerry Fults, Virgal Homer, Adam Barlow, Stephen Free and Jacob Hall serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Brown’s Funeral Service in Durant, Oklahoma on Friday evening from 7-9 PM. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com.
Arrangements are under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service, Durant, Oklahoma.
