Loyd Lee Whitmire, age 81, a lifelong Hopewell, Caney, OK area resident.
 
BORN: He was born on Thursday, March 18, 1934, to Mike and Lottie (Hood) Whitmire, at Kenefic, OK.
 
PASSED AWAY: Loyd passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at Caney, OK.
 
AGE: 81 years, 9 months and 25 days.
 
EDUCATION: He attended school at Hopewell.
 
OCCUPATION: Loyd was a welder many years for Peabody Galion and Hales Trailer Mfg, and retired after 15 years with Ok. Dept of Transportation.
 
MILITARY: Loyd proudly served his country in The Army during the Korean War.
 

MARRIED: He married Betty Sue (Richardson) on Wednesday, September 2nd, 1953 at Bonham, Texas.
 
CHURCH AFFILIATION, HOBBIES AND OTHER AFFILIATIONS: Loyd is a member of Freewill Baptist Church Congregation of Atoka. He loved his cattle and riding horses. Loyd was a very devoted family man, loved having all his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids around him.

GRANDDAUGHTER:        J'Lyn Adair and husband Tyler of Caney, OK
GREAT GRANDDAUGHTER:         KaseLee Adair of Caney, OK
GRANDDAUGHTER:        Mindy Whitmire of McKinney, TX
DAUGHTER:       Janet McBride and husband Dennis of Caney, OK
GRANDSON:       Joey McBride and wife Melissa of Coleman, OK
GREAT GRANDCHILDREN:          Cade, Eric and Leah McBride of Coleman, OK
GRANDDAUGHTER:        Keta Robbins and husband Michael of Caddo, OK
GREAT GRANDSON:        Tylan Robbins of Caddo, OK
BROTHER:                          Slim Whitmire of Hopewell, OK
SISTERS:                              Annie Owens of Durant, OK
                                Ruby Wix of Durant, OK
                                Para Lee Gann of Texas
                                Cleo Golden and Carroll Ray of Krebs, OK
along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
