Betty L. Morrison passed away Saturday, August 16, 2025. She was born September 21, 1936 in Atoka County Oklahoma. A graduate of Capitol Hill High School, Betty also took courses at University of Oklahoma and University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
As a teenager, Betty worked as a waitress, cared for a special needs child, and worked at Springlake Amusement Park in Oklahoma City, OK. She also worked as a clothing model in Oklahoma City, Dallas, and Las Vegas. Betty began her professional career with Cook Supply Company in Oklahoma City, OK, followed by 30 years of Civil Service work which included Secretary to the Judge Advocate at Tinker AFB in Midwest City, OK; Administrative Assistant to the Director of the Maintenance Technical Support Center (U.S. Postal Service), Norman, OK; Hearing assistant to an Administrative Law Judge, Salt Lake City, NV; and she retired as a Land Law Examiner from the Dept. of Interior in Salt Lake City, NV. After retiring, Betty lived in Las Vegas, NV and in Alabama before finally settling in Oklahoma City, OK.
On May 12, 1954, Betty Married Bill Darrel Sinclair, now deceased, with whom she had two sons, Bill Vance Sinclair and Darrel Kent Sinclair. Betty considered rearing her two fine sons the greatest joy and accomplishment in her life. On May 12, 1978 she married William A. Morrison, now deceased.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Orval and Theresa Lynn Oxford; brother, Millard Ray Oxford; paternal grandparents, Jeffery Wilburn Oxford and Bessie Jane Peeler; and maternal grandparents John Cass Lynn and Ola Annie Goodson.
She is survived by her sons, Bill Vance Sinclair and wife Debra of Bixby, OK, Darrel Kent Sinclair and wife Sarita of Tuttle, OK; step-daughter, Diana (Morrison) and husband Allen Sykes of Mesa, AZ; granddaughters, Maria and husband Tyler Strain of Edmond, OK, Carisa and husband Ryan Shipe of Tuttle, OK, Elizabeth Elliott also of Tuttle, OK; great grandchildren, Noah and Lillian Strain, Luke, Carson and Trey Shipe, Jaci, Gentry and Austin Elliott; along with many other extended family members and friends.
