Debralyn Joyce Peters, age 68, a longtime Atoka, OK resident. She was born on Tuesday, April 23, 1957, to Walter S. "Speedy" and Maddie (Barcus) Wilson, at Ruidoso, NM. Debralyn passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at Durant, OK. She attended Ruidoso School in Lincoln County, where she might have skipped a day or two in her early years. Debralyn was a housekeeper for Rocky Ridge Hotel, and for Choctaw Community Center and also worked in barkeeping. She married Larry Joe Peters on November 14th, 1996 in Atoka, OK. He preceded her in death on April 11, 2001. Debralyn enjoyed working in her yard, laughing, being with her family and friends and her baby cat Sassy. She loved family get togethers, playing dominoes while enjoying a good drink.
Debralyn is survived by her significant other, Lance Thomas of Atoka, OK; daughter, Madalyn Machuca of Durant, OK; grandsons, Tyler Leal of Durant, OK, Collin Sartin of Tushka, OK; nieces and nephews, Walter Wilson and wife Patty of Ruidoso, NM, Clar Eyelash of Ruidoso, NM, Edward Daney of McAlester, OK, Gary Daniel and wife Lori of McAlester, OK, Shelli Dailey of McAlester, OK, Anthony Treas Wilson; along with aunts, uncles, other family and dear and loved friends.
Debralyn was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Maddie (Barcus) Wilson; husband, Larry Joe Peters; daughter, Lisa Leal; grandson, Seth Leal; sister, Aline Barcus; brother, Raymond Wilson; nephew, Jason Wilson.
