Goltry – The funeral for Bernice Margaret Voss, 79, will be at 10:30 AM Monday at the First Congregational United Church of Christ with John Sellers officiating. Burial will be at Karoma Cemetery under the direction of Kenny Lanman Funeral Home.

She was born August 17, 1918, in Goltry to Joseph and Kathryn Quinn Zrust and died Friday, December 5, 1997, at St. Mary's Mercy Hospital.

She married Emerson Rex Voss on October 3, 1936, in Wichita, Kansas. She worked as a secretary for the Goltry Farmers Exchange and as a sales associate for J.C. Pennies.

She lived all her life in the Goltry area and belonged to Eastern Star, MWG Club of Goltry, Ladies Bridge Club of Goltry, Ladies First Aide of U.C.C. and was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ.

She is survived by three sons, Joe Voss of Enid, Henry Voss of Goltry, Gordon Voss of Carrier, seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers and one sister.

Memorials may be made to the First Congregational United Church of Christ through the funeral home.

The casket will be open at the funeral home today from 9 AM until 8 PM.

Goltry – Funeral services for Emerson R. Voss, 63, was 2:30 PM today in the Congressional Church. Burial will be in the, Karoma Cemetery.

Voss died Saturday in a local hospital.

Born July 9, 1915, on a farm east of Goltry, he attended the local schools, continuing his education at Phillips University and Central State College at Edmond.

He married Bernice Zrust, October 3, 1936, at Ellsworth, Kansas. A farmer and stockman, Voss lived on a farm east of Goltry until 15 years ago when he moved into town.

He was a member of the Congregational Church and the Masonic Lodge. His father preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Bernice, of the home; his mother, Mrs. Mildred Voss, Goltry; three sons, Gary, Gordon and Henry John, all of Goltry and five grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Congregational Church.

Fossett Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
