Leon and Gertrude had three children: Kenneth, Gordon, and Jane.

Leon was a longtime member of Helena Church of Christ, where he led singing and taught Bible classes.

The past five years he was a member of North Garland Church of Christ, in Enid, where he was a dedicated servant in the Pantry Ministry.

Leon was a powerful witness in the Lord’s kingdom until he went to be with the Lord Jan. 28, 2016.

Leon is survived by his son, Gordon Jantz and wife Carol of Enid; daughter, Jane Ging and husband Mike of Helena; daughter-in-law, Carol Swopes of Newkirk; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; a brother, Wilfred Jantz and wife Shirley of Madison, Tenn.; and a brother-in-law, Ernest Dirks and wife Twilla of Stillwater.
