The funeral service for Leila P Koon Bingham, age 89, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, November 7, 2008, at the Golden Oaks Chapel. Shorty Unruh will officiate. Burial will be in the Good Hope Cemetery in Helena, OK. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Leila was born on June 30, 1919 in Aline, OK, to Bruce and Dottie Sprague McNabb and passed away Wednesday morning at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center, November 5, 2008, in Enid, OK.
She married Howard E Koon on July 11, 1935, in Aline, OK. He preceded her in death, March 11, 1976. She later married Albert Bingham. They lived in Enid. He preceded her in death February 29, 1994. She worked as a cook at the Helena State School until she retired.
Besides her husbands, she was preceded in death by two sons, Gray E. Koon and Daryl D. Koon, and one grandson, Mark A. Koon, four brothers and one sister.
She is survived by two daughters-in-law, LaDonna Koon of Enid and Pattie Bingham; three grandchildren, Kevin and wife, Kim Koon, Brenda Koon and Donna Koon; and five greatgrandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Golden Oaks Chapel fund or donor’s choice with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home as custodian of the funds. Condolences may be emailed to the family at ladusauevans@suddenlinkmail.com.(Paid Obit 11-6-1)
