Rites Thursday for Strip Pioneer

Cherokee – Services for Reece B. Ingle, 93, will be 3 PM Thursday in the First Methodist church with the Rev. Don Forsman officiating.

Burial will be in Cherokee Municipal Cemetery under the direction of Hodge – Smith Funeral Home.

Mr. Ingle died in a local hospital Tuesday morning.

He was born in Tennessee and made the Cherokee Strip Run, settling on a farm Southwest of Cherokee.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Ivan Brown, Wichita, Mrs. Vera McGavern and Mrs. Beulah Gardiner, both of Cherokee, a son, Elbert, Oklahoma City.
