Troy Cleburn Scraper, son of Worth and Fannie May (Blackburn) Scraper, was born on September 8, 1928 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and passed from this life to be with his Lord on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 82 years, 6 months and 7 days.
Cleburn married Frankie Johnson on July 22, 1948 and the Lord blessed them with 61 years of marriage. He was of the Free Holiness faith. Cleburn was a farmer and rancher. He also loved to garden. Cleburn spent as much time as possible tenderly caring for his garden. He always had extra from his garden to give to friends and family or those in need. At the end of many days, you could find him relaxing on the front porch watching the people pass on the highway. He loved for people to stop, sit with him on the porch and visit. He always had interesting stories to tell. Cleburn’s family was very important to him and he was proud of his grandchildren’s accomplishments. He will be deeply missed.
Cleburn was preceded in death by his wife: Frankie on June 10, 2010, his parents: Worth and Fannie Scraper, brothers: Woodrow and Alfred Scraper, sisters: Clara Gladden and Pauline Ketcher.
Keeping his memory is his son: James Scraper and wife Rita of Stilwell, OK, granddaughters: Michelle Scraper and Tina Scraper of Stilwell, OK, great grandchildren: Briana Scraper, Jaret Scraper and Kailee Scraper of Stilwell, OK, brothers: Sherman Scraper of Stilwell, Granvel Scraper of McCurtain, OK, sister: Nettie McGee of McCurtain.
