Funeral rites for Mrs. Lucinda Jane REINOLDS, 86, were held Thursday, October 18, 2:00 p.m. in Roberts Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Haden COLVIN officiating assisted by the Rev. Bud LACIE. Members of the Lacie family and Oscar SMITH sang, "Empty Mansion," "Let the Lower Lights Be Burning."
Mrs. REINOLDS was born February 8, 1876 in Washington County, Ark., daughter of Sam and Ann PHILLIPS, and died at her home in Westville Sunday evening, October 14, 1962.
She and Louis REINOLDS were married October 4, 1894. To this union, eight children were born and with these, she also helped to rear seven step-sons. Mr. REINOLDS preceded her in death in January, 1916. Two of her sons died this year, Oscar REINOLDS, July 5 and Rudolph REINOLDS, September 15.
Mrs. REINOLDS with her children moved to Westville in 1917 and had resided here until her death. She was a member of the Christian church.
Interment was in the Westville Cemetery under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Elbert SHEFFIELD, Calvin PHILLIPS, Luther SIMMONS, Oscar SMITH, Harlos (Hollis) WEAVER, and Kenneth HOLLAR. Flower bearers were Mrs. Fred WILT, Mrs. Emma HOLLAND, Mrs. Marvin CAGLE, Mrs. Wilma WELLS, Mrs. Georgia CRITTENDEN and Mrs. Mary LEERSKOR.
Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Malinda BARNES, Westville, Mrs. Juanita SHELL, Anderson, Calif., and Mrs. Tillie HERN of Martinez, Calif.; two sons, Sam REINOLDS and Herman REINOLDS, Westville; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
