Demaris Fern Gifford

Demaris Fern Gifford, the daughter of Harm Shores and Artie (Gregory) Shores, was born March 10, 1924 in Alma, Arkansas and passed away November 12, 1006 at Memorial Hospital in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 82 years, eight months and two days.
On November 7, 1940, Demaris married Charley A. Gifford in Wagoner, Oklahoma and to this union was born eight children.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, Charley; one brother Aaron Shores; two grandsons, William Gifford and Tony Faddis and two great grandsons, Jade Brock and Cody DeMoss.
She leaves behind a loving family including her children, Billy Gifford, Charles and Anna Mae Gifford, Jerry and Sue Ann Gifford, Donnie Gifford, Ronnie Gifford, Betty and Frank Martin, Ellen Gifford, Carol Gamble, Nedra and Ken Faddis, 28 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren; one sister, Sarah Coldwell; one brother, William "Sonny" Shores and numberous aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Services were held Friday, November 17, 2006 at Hart Memorial Chapel with Bro. Audie Vaughn officiating.

Interment followed at Westville City Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.
