Robert Gene "Shakey" Ketcher

Robert Gene"Shakey"Ketcher was born January 14, 1942 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to Maida Lee (Locust) Ketcher and Ralph W. Ketcher. He departed this life to be with our Lord surrounded by loved ones on June 14, 2018 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 76 years and 5 months.

Gene grew up in Stilwell attending Maryetta and then graduated from Stilwell High School. He also attended Haskell Indian College in Lawrence, Kan. He married Pam Walkingstick on May 18, 1966 and to this union four children were born; Gina, Lana, Ryan and Andrea. He served his country proudly in the United States Army during Vietnam as a mortar gunner of the 1st Calvary. He was saved and baptized in June of 1980. He faithfully served the Lord as a Deacon for over 30 years and was a member of Calvary Southern Baptist Church. Some of his hobbies included fishing, washers, dominoes, coaching the "Sticks", watching the grandsons play baseball and arguing with the granddaughters. He also enjoyed the OU Sooners and St. Louis Cardinals but most of all enjoyed precious time spent with his family.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents; son; Ryan Gene Ketcher, granddaughter; Cari Jo Teehee, great-granddaughter; Kyrai Hope, brothers; Ralph Ketcher, Mike Ketcher; sister; Kathy Hevezi and nephew; Kevin Ketcher.

He is survived by a very loving family that includes his wife of over 52 years; Pam Ketcher of the home in Stilwell, daughters; Gina Stand and husband Brad of Fayetteville, Ark., Lana Jo and husband Rooster, Andrea Ketcher all of Stilwell, grandchildren; Amber Stand, Jon Teehee and wife Delana, Halle Teehee, Tyrus Teehee, Brooklynn Eagle;. great grandchildren; Jevson Ryan and Rylee Jo Teehee. Siblings; Ron Ketcher of Stilwell, Mary Jo Goodall of Waco, Texas, all of his "favorite" sister and brother-in-laws; several nieces, nephews, a group of "bonus" kids; Kara, Bubba Todd, Cis and Tonia Lynn and grands that he dearly loved, other relatives and many, many friends also survive him.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at New Life Church, Stilwell, with Brad Stand, Pastor Larry Marler, Bro. Joey Ketcher and Bro. Todd Dowty officiating. Interment followed at Tyler Springs Cemetery, Stilwell, under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home, Stilwell
