John Keith Watkins

John Keith Watkins the son of John and Patsy (Leming) Watkins was born April 24, 1973 in Naples, Florida and he departed this life on July 1, 2019 in Des Moines, Iowa at the age of 46 years, 2 months and 7 days.

Keith enjoyed life and loved his family. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, taking his son fishing, camping or just being outdoors. He was very artistic and enjoyed craftwork, beadwork, painting, making knives and tattooing.

Keith was a hard worker and enjoyed working outdoors. He touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his father John Larry Watkins and his maternal grandfather Everett Leming.

He is survived by a loving family which includes his fiance’ Jamie Kidd of the home; his mother Patsy Watkins of Stilwell; his children Matthew Watkins of Stilwell, Joshua O’Neal of Evansville, Chase O’Neal of Evansville, Kesley O’Neal of the home and Hailey Watkins of the home; his brother Brian Watkins and wife Rachel of Stilwell; his grandchildren Chloe and Malachi O’Neal and his maternal grandmother Alma Leming of Westville. Numerous other family and friends also survive him.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 12, 2019 at Hart Memorial Chapel.  

Interment will follow at Stilwell City Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.
