Bernice Cora Holiman Vanderheiden (Ramey) passed from this earthly life into her Heavenly life on November 17, 2013 in her home. She was born to Rucker and Minnie Burgess Holiman on February 1, 1925 in Sequoyah County, Oklahoma.

She was married to Jim Vanderheiden on March 12, 1938-1995. Late in life she was married to Carthal Ramey. Her greatest peace in her earthly life was serving God and witnessing to other people.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rucker and Minnie Holiman. Husbands Jim Vanderheiden and Carthal Ramey, 15 siblings and one son-in-law, Wayne Reese.

She leaves to mourn, Irene Christopher and husband John Wright, Missouri City, MO, Loretta Jean Reese, Stilwell, OK, Rosa Workman and husband Clebern, Stilwell, OK, Sylvia Liles and husband Jim, Edmond, Ok. Dean Vanderheiden and wife Rena, Bunch, OK. And 3 step-sons of Muldrow, Ok. Grandchildren, Terrance Ashwill, Geoffery Ashwill, James Vanderheiden, Jonathan Vanderheiden, Jerrod Vanderheiden, Chris Liles and Bryant Ashwill. Great grandchildren, Alex Ashwill, Nathan Vanderheiden, Hope Christopher, Erika Vanderheiden, Cody Ashwill, Isabella Vanderheiden, Emeree Ashwill, Chloe Vanderheiden and Victoria Vanderheiden, Colt Liles and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

God answered Bernice's daily prayer that she would make the journey from earth to heaven in her sleep.

Funeral services were held at 2 pm on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at New Life Church, Stilwell, Ok with Bro. Ron Ford and Bro. Max Ford officiating. Interment followed at Stilwell City Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
