Dolly Tharp, the daughter of Granville Ritter and Christine (Farmer) Ritter, was born December 11, 1926 in Stilwell, Oklahoma.
She passed from this life October 31, 2006 in Tulsa Oklahoma at the age of 79 years 10 months and 20 days.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charley Tharp; four brothers, Leon, Gene, Burl and Joe; three sisters, Thelma, Minnie and Edith and two infant children.
She leaves behind two sons, Mike Abbott and wife, Elaine, of Westworth Village, TX and Lloyd Abbott, of Stilwell, OK., one daughter, Nancy Ganter and husband, Lynn of Kenai, AR; one stepson, David Joseph Tharp and wife, Doris, of Tahlequah, OK; three stepdaughters, Connie Sue Taylor and husband, A.C., of Seminole, OK, Mary Lou Capps and husband, Leroy, and Linda Felts, all of Tahlequah, OK; two sisters, Alyene Rich and Ethel Johnson, both of Stilwell, OK; 22 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren and numerous family and friends.
Services were held Friday, November 3, 2006 at the First Christian Church with Pastor Kevin Spurlock and Jim Woolsey, Jr. officiating.
Interment followed at Stilwell City Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.
