Teddy Allen Ross, son of Theodore and Melba (Briggs) Ross, was born on November 6, 1953 in Claremore, Oklahoma and departed this life on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 56 years, 11 months and 14 days.
Teddy was well known around Stilwell. All who met him liked him. He married the love of his life and his soul mate, Brenda Padgett, on August 30, 1973. The Lord blessed them with 37 years of marriage and 3 beautiful children: Christopher, Keli and Jacob.
He provided for his family by working for the Cherokee Nation for the last 19 years.
He was a devoted husband, father and a good friend. Teddy was a very faithful and active member of the First Baptist Church of Stilwell.
He worked in Vacation Bible School, Children’s Church and drove the church vans on Sunday for church services and on Wednesday Night for Awana, bringing the children to church. He loved doing this work for the Lord.
He will remain forever in our hearts and the hearts of those children.
He was preceded in death by his father: Ted Ross and brothers: Frank Ross, Edward D. Ross and Donald Ray Ross.
Those remaining to honor and keep Teddy’s memory are his wife: Brenda Ross of the home in Stilwell, OK, sons: Christopher Ross and wife Rachelle of Broken Arrow, OK, Jacob Ross of the home, daughter: Keli Ross of the home, grandson: Kodi Ross of the home, mother: Melba Ross of Claremore, OK, brother: Mike Ross and wife Frances of Chelsea, OK, sisters: Leah Lowe of Claremore, OK, Pam Charles and husband Cecil of Claremore, OK.
Teddy is also survived by other relatives and a multitude of friends.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at First Baptist Church, Stilwell, Oklahoma with Bro. Ron Lacaze officiating. Interment followed at Stilwell City Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
