Michael Pierce LONG
February 28, 1939 - August 21, 2006
Michael Pierce LONG, son of John William LONG and Louie Mae TEAGUE LONG, was born July 29, 1913 in Protem, Mo., and departed this life into eternity Aug. 12, 1998 at Memorial Hospital in Stilwell, Okla., at the age of 85 years and 13 days.
Michael was married to Clara Faye BARNES on March 27, 1934 in Newkirk, Okla., and from this union were born three children: Raymond Gene, Glenda Jo and Joni. Michael was a farmer most of his life. He also served as a police officer and a sheriff's deputy.
He was preceded in death by both parents; wife, Clara Faye; five brothers; three sisters; and one great-grandson, Tony OSTERHAUT
He is survived by: two sons, Raymond Gene and Jim; two daughters, Glenda Jo and Joni; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Graveside funeral services were held Friday, Aug. 14, at the Stilwell City Cemetery with Rev. Neal Dillard of Welling officiating, under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home of Stilwell.
