Joy Noradean “Mills” Longshore of Stilwell was born on January 23rd, 1928 to John Moton Mills and Bonnie “Davis” Mills at Wauhillau, Oklahoma. She entered into her saviors arms on Monday, March 28, 2011 at her home in the Horn Community at the age of 83 years, 2 months and 5 days.

She was married to Lee Roy Longshore on May 12th, 1948 in Van Buren, Arkansas. They received many blessings from the Lord during their 62 years together, which included a large, loving family. Joy cherished her role as matriarch of the family. She enjoyed cooking and quilting. Joy was saved and baptized by Arthur Essary through her Savior, Jesus Christ. She lived virtuous life and was an example for her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents: John and Bonnie Mills, sisters: Berna Dean Arnett, Johnnie Bernice Worley, Hope Evelyn Tomandao and grandson: Mark Brent Longshore.

Joy is survived by her husband: Lee Roy Longshore of the home, children: Roy Dale and wife Joni, Dennis and wife Virginia, Micky and wife Dianne, Ricky and wife Andrea, Reta and husband Kenneth Limore, all of Stilwell, OK, Linda Rogers and husband Stimson of Sallisaw, OK, brothers: Verble Mills and wife Dahlia of Sapulpa, OK, Tom Mills of Stilwell, Denver Mills and wife Alma of Albuquerque, NM, Bobby Gene Mills and wife Sue of Jenks, OK, Coy Day Mills and wife Julie of Midwest City, OK.
She is also survived by 12 grandchildren: Lavonn Seger, Leah Caughman, Denise Brown, Blake Longshore, Aaron Longshore, Chris, Shaun and Jessica Longshore, Colby, Coy and Craig Longshore, Kenneth Limore, Jr. and 8 great grandchildren: Lisa Caughman, Michaela Caughman, Kenna Caughman, Jonathan Seger, Brett and Ashley Brown, Madalyn Joy Longshore and Sway Longshore. Many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends also survive her.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel with Bro. James Essary officiating.

Interment followed at Stilwell City Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.

LeeRoy Longshore was born December 31, 1927 as the 9th child of his parents Claude and Irene (Cornallis) Longshore in Bunch, Ok. On January 9, 2020, he peacefully left his earthly home in the Horn Community at the age of 92 years and 9 days.

He led the life of a rancher and farmer. He was one of the last of the open range cowboys. He loved the simple things in life like big family gatherings with lots of music, food, love and laughter. He liked watching college basketball, rooting for Duke all the way! He cheered for the American bull riders of the PBR.

LeeRoy was proceeded in death by Joy (Mills) Longshore, his wife of 62 years, both parents, 13 brothers and sisters, 2 half siblings, 1 grandson,Mark Brent Longshore, and 1 son-in-law, Kenneth Limore.

He is survived by 6 children: Roy Dale and wife Joanie, Dennis and wife Virginia, Micky and wife Diane, Ricky and wife Andrea, Reta Longshore Limore all of Stilwell and Linda Longshore Rogers and husband Stimson of Sallisaw. 12 grandchildren: Leah Tinsley, Denise Brown, Blake Longshore, Aaron Longshore, Lavonn Stites, Chris Longshore, Shaun Longshore, Jessica Robinson, Colby, Coy and Craig Longshore, and Kenneth Limore. along with 17 great grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Services for LeeRoy were held at 10 am on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at Roberts/Reed- Culver Chapel in Stilwell with Bro. Larry Hatfield officiating.

Interment followed the service at Stilwell City Cemetery
