Clifford J. Hudgins
June 11, 1923-April 18, 2008
Clifford J. Hudgins, the son of John D. Hudgins and Blanche C. Lewis, was born in Stilwell, Oklahoma on June 11, 1923.
He went home to be with the Lord on April 18, 2008, in Fayetteville, Arkansas at 84 years of age.
Cliff and Edra Worley were united in marriage on July 12, 1946, in Columbus, Kansas. Their union was blessed with four children.
Cliff was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving overseas during World War II in North Africa and Italy.
He received a Master's of Science Degree in educaation, teaching history and industrial arts in New Mexico and Oklahoma. Cliff served as principal and superintendent of Stilwell Public Schools. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He enjoyed gardening, reading and building things in his woodshop.
Preceding him in death were his parents, one son; Donivan F. Hudgins, four brothers; Nathan, Howard, Frank and Calvin Hudgins and two sisters; Cherry Hudgins and Lou Nelle Rhoads.
He leaves behind a loving family, which includes his wife of 61 years, Edra Hudgins, of the home, one son; Daniel Hudgins of Fayetteville, AR, two daughters; DaLana Inman and husband Andy of Stilwell, OK., Danielle Henderson and husband Mike of Springdale, AR, one brother; J.D. Hudgins and wife Lois of Stilwell, OK, one sister; Alyene Keller of Fort Smith, AR., and eight grandchildren; Merritt Hudgins, Huntley Hudgins, Gralon Hudgins, Holland Edmisten, Donivan Hudgins, Joseph Inman, Samuel Inman and Luke Inman. Numerous family, friends and other loved ones also survive him.
Funeral services were held 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 21, 2008, at Hart Memorial Chapel with Bro. Roger Haney officiating.
Interment followed at Stilwell City Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.
