Vera Aileen Honeycutt

Vera Aileen Honeycutt daughter of Charles Gustuf and Maude Nettie (Sipes) Severson was born February 19, 1926 in Tripp, South Dakota and went to be with our Lord on Friday, December 23, 2011 at the Stilwell Nursing Home with some of her family around her at the age of 85 years, 10 months and 4 days.
She had many special interesting hobbies and made beautiful quilts for her family. Vera also loved Polka music. She made many costumes for herself and her dog “Teacup” for participating in parades, which they did for many years. “Teacup” was a great companion that she loved very much.
Vera’s family with many special grandchildren and lots of get together’s made her life full of wonderful and amazing blessings. She was a longtime member of Freedom Christian Center Church and they too were such a wonderful family to her. Over the years she has had many longtime friends and one very special caretaker Betty Soap who did an excellent job of taking care of her. Vera will be missed by many friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Charles and Maude Severson, her first husband; Ivan Bausch, her second husband; Eddie Honeycutt, granddaughter; Heather Honeycutt, and one son; Edward Bausch.
Vera is survived by a very loving family that includes her three sons; Richard Bausch and wife Wanette of New Mexico, Glenn Honeycutt and wife Florence of Nevada, Dallas Risling of South Dakota, one daughter; Dorothy Tackett and husband Norman of Garfield, Arkansas, daughter in law; Opal Bausch of Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma, aunt; Deloris Kleinschno of Souix City, Iowa. Twelve grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, several other relatives and many friends also survive her.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel. Interment followed at Stilwell City Cemetery.
