Juanita Henson, daughter of William and Mary (Waters) Young was born February 2, 1936 in Claremore, Oklahoma and departed this life to be with the Lord on September 28, 2015 at her home in Westville, Oklahoma at the age of 79 years, 7 months and 26 days.

In 1952, she married J.L. Brown and together they had 7 children, Mary, Linda, Pamela, Jesse Leon, Sandy, Roger and Dennis. While working at the Westville Nursing Home, she met and married Anderson Henson and gained a step daughter, Betty Jean. Juanita worked at the Stilwell Memorial Hospital for 30 years and talked of the many friends she had made while working there, including a special friend, the late Dorothy White.

She continued her profession of caring for people in a Children's Living Center while living in Roseville, California and later returned to Westville, where she made her home in 1992. She worked at the Stilwell Memorial Hospital a few more years before retiring.

She enjoyed cooking for family and friends. Juanita was a member of the First Baptist Church of Westville. She enjoyed going to church and talking about the Lord. She was the vice president of the American Legion until she was unable to attend.

Juanita is preceded in death by her first husband, J.L. Brown, her husband of 34 years, Andy Henson, her son Jesse Leon Brown, sisters, Louise Burnette, Viola Brown, Cynthia Jones, Ruby and Wilma Young, brothers, Joe Young, Tom Young and one infant brother.

She is survived by, her daughters, Mary McKinley and Sandy Brown, of Westville, Linda Ross and husband, Danny, of Bunch, Pam Thomas and husband, Richard, of Stilwell; sons, Dennis Brown, of the home and Roger Brown, of Westville; one brother, Robert Young, of Stilwell; 15 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. Many nieces, nephews and a host of friends and loved ones also survive her.

Funeral services were held 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 2, 2015, at Hart Memorial Chapel with Bro. James Duffell officiating. Interment followed at Stilwell City Cemetery under the care and direction of Hart Funeral Home of Stilwell.
