Anderson Lavern Henson was born to Charlie and Nancy Bell Henson on November 8, 1930 in the Chewey Community of Adair County, Oklahoma. He passed from this life on May 5, 2015 in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age of 84.

Andy served proudly in the U.S. Air Force. After his honorable discharge from military service he left Westville and moved to California where he worked many years as a railroad electrician, retiring from Southern Pacific Railroad.

While returning home to visit his mother, Andy met Juanita Brown and they married three years later. They have spent a total of 39 happy years together. Andy was a member of the First Baptist Church in Westville and the American Legion. He enjoyed his daily visits to the coffee shop to meet with friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Nancy Bell Henson; brothers, Bob, Theodore, Paul and Dean and sisters, Cherry, Millie and Lossy, an infant son and a stepson, Jesse Brown.

Survivors include his wife, Juanita Henson, of the home; daughter, Betty Jean Henson, of California; stepchildren, Dennis Brown, of the home, Roger Brown and Sandy Brown, of Westville, Pam Thomas and husband, Richard, and Linda Ross and husband, Danny, all of Stilwell and Mary McKinley, of Westville; 16 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held 2:00 p.m. May 11, 2015 at Hart Memorial Chapel with Bro. James Duffell officiating.

Interment followed at Stilwell City Cemetery under the care and direction of Hart Funeral Home of Stilwell.
