Mary Glendola Casteel Helm, the daughter of Calvin Lewis McDaniel and Mary Alice (Schultz) McDaniel, was born February 19, 1937, in Hancock County, Kentucky and passed from this life on April 21, 2016, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma at the age of 79 years.

Mary worked as an outside sales representative for Sam's Club for many years. Her interests included traveling, gardening and canning, reading novels and scripture, movies and attending church. Mary had a passion for music and a beautiful voice, singing in church her whole life. She loved sports, especially basketball, and was a huge Kentucky Wildcat fan.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Mary Alice McDaniel, two husbands, Ralph Casteel and Walter Helm, two sisters, Ruby McDaniel and Lena Mae Brown.

She leaves behind a loving family which includes, her children, Terry Horton and wife, Donna, of Dwight Mission, OK, Richard Horton and wife, Cindy, of Owensboro, KY, James Clifton Casteel, of Muskogee, OK and Kimberly Jones, of Tulsa, OK; stepchildren, Ralph Casteel Jr. and wife, Kay, of Tulsa, OK and Nancy Keeton, of Owensboro, KY; 17 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Many other relatives, friends and loved ones also survive her.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at Hart Memorial Chapel with Bro. Ron Forest officiating. Interment will follow at Stilwell City Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Stilwell.
