Marie Evelyn (Chuculate) Hardbarger

Marie Evelyn Hardbarger the daughter of Henry Floyd Chuculate and Iva N. Ollis was born February 25, 1930, in Bunch, Oklahoma and departed this life on March 28, 2020 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 90 years, 1 month and 3 days.

Marie loved her family and loved serving the Lord. She attended the Guiding Light Church for many years before relocating to town and making the Lighthouse Church her home church. While Marie enjoyed her role as a wife, mother and grandmother, she also worked for Stilwell Foods for over 30 years. She enjoyed watching OU football, the PBR and in her later year’s gospel television. She loved to sew and crochet. She enjoyed working outside in her flower garden. Her family meant the world to her and she loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren dearly. Marie was a light in the world who touched many lives over the years. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Earl Hardbarger; and her half-brothers G.W. Owl and Dennis Owl.

She is survived by a loving family which includes her daughters Gail Williams of Stilwell and Linda Caviness of Stilwell; her sister Josephine Butler and her nephew Leonard Asbill both of Stilwell; 5 grandchildren to include Angela Cunningham and husband Jack of Muskogee, Jill Eubanks of Stilwell, Julie Royall and husband Kevin of Fayetteville, AR, Leah Tinsley and husband Chad of Park Hill and Denise Brown and husband Jason of Stilwell; 10 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Many friends and other relatives also survive her.

Graveside Service was held Saturday, April 4, 2020 at 10:00 at the Stilwell City Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed/Culver Funeral Home, Stilwell, OK.
