Janis Marie Gregory

Janis Marie Gregory, daughter of Mack Charles Flute and Evalee Elizabeth Mannon, was born in Tahlequah, Oklahoma on February 19, 1951 and passed from this life on May 18, 2016 in Salina, Oklahoma at the age of 65 years.

She supported her family as a nurse and caregiver. Janis had a wonderful smile and beautiful soul. She loved to read, played the guitar and enjoyed watching NCIS. She liked spending time outdoors and loved flowers. Her family was very important to her and every moment spent with them was a blessing to her.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Mack and Evalee Flute and husband: Hank Gregory.

Janis is survived by a large and loving family that includes her stepfather: Carl Mannon of Westville, OK, children: Adela Evans of Jay, OK, Christi Flynn and husband Leroy Cantrell of Salina, OK, Gregory Bean and wife Theresa of Watts, OK, grandchildren: Cody Nieto and wife Amber of Pryor, OK, Christopher Flynn of Gravette, AR, Dusting Clark and wife Mariah of Jay, Saraya Flynn of Kenwood, OK, Sierra Evans of Jay, Kataya Bean of Decatur, AR, Michela Atwood and husband John of Decatur, Torin Bean and Mariah Bean of Neosho, MO, Kerstine Sims and husband Jess of Stilwell, OK, Darrian and husband Chase of Watts, 15 great grandchildren, siblings: Sharon Watt and husband Roger of Sallisaw, OK, David Flute and wife Lynk of Springtown, AR, Regina Flute of Westville, Lana Whisenhunt and husband Henry of Stilwell, Tillie Chrismon and husband Roy of Colcord, Sam Flute of Stilwell, Nick Flute and wife Lisa of Illinois, Jimmie Blossom and husband Danny of Siloam Springs, AR, Don Akins and wife Shirley of Harrison, AR and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 23, 2016 at Stilwell City Cemetery, Stilwell, Oklahoma with Homer King officiating. Interment followed under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
