George Washington Doyle
July 23, 1918 - October 23, 2009
George W. Doyle son of Robert Burtis and Martha Melvina (Caudle) Doyle was born July 23, 1918 in Washington County, Arkansas and departed this life to be with our Lord on October 23, 2009 at the age of 91 years and 3 months.
He married Datha Imogene Neale on January 29, 1946 and to this union 2 children were born; Jerald Dale and Ouita.
George was a farmer who loved gardening and working around the farm. He was a member of Whitmire Community Church.
He was a World War II veteran serving as Staff Sergeant in the United States Army.
He most enjoyed spending time with his family whom he deeply cherished.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Robert and Martha Doyle, 2 brothers; Clyde Doyle and Baby Arthur Doyle, and 1 sister; Eula Bottoms.
George is survived by a very loving family that includes his wife of over 63 years; Datha Doyle of the home, 1 son; Jerald Dale Doyle and wife Peggy, 1 daughter; Ouita Alberty and husband James, 4 grandchildren; Tracy Roberts and husband Ricky, BJ Doyle and wife Tammy, Bryan Thomas, Justin Thomas and wife Misty, great grandchildren; Jordan Unger, Chance Unger, Wesley Doyle, Ashley Thomas, and Hayden Thomas all of Stilwell, Ok. 3 sisters; Lillie Clinton and Grace Stephenson both of Stilwell, Ok, Roseanne Davenport and husband Bill of Muldrow, Ok, 4 brothers; Burl Doyle and wife Margie, Ray Doyle and wife Betty, Bobby Doyle and wife Jane all of Stilwell, Ok, Kenneth Doyle and wife Ruby of Kansas, Ok, Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive him.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Misty Thomas, Penny and all the staff of Advantage Hospice for all the love and care they showed to George and his family during this difficult time.
Funeral Services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 26, 2009 at Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Chapel with Bro. Matthew Wilson officiating. Interment followed at Stilwell City Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
