Alta Mae Dejarnatt
November 18, 1927-April 15, 2008
Alta Mae Dejarnatt, daughter of Alton Earl and Nellie Mae (Oxford) Roberts was born November 18, 1927 in Best Arkansas and departed this life to be with her Lord on April 15, 2008 in Stilwell, OK at the age of 80 years, 4 months and 28 days.
She married Ben Ford Dejarrnatt on April 25, 1946 and to this union 3 children were born; Jim, Linda and Donna.
She retired from Ozark Electric. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Stilwell and was also a member of the order of the Eastern Star serving as worthy Matron several times.
Alta Mae loved gardening, canning, sewing, was a great cook and loved to try new recipes. She was also know for doing lots of things for other people.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Ben Ford Dejarrnatt, 1 daughter; Linda Walden and her sister; Artie Kirk.
Alta Mae is survived by a very loving family that includes; 1 son; Jimmy Dejarnatt and wife Lyndell of Cassville, MO., 1 daughter; Donna Johnson and husband Johnny of Stilwell, OK., grandchildren; Sherry Joann Catron, Kimberly Harlin and husband Brian all of Stilwell, OK., Amy Lynn Walden of Huntsville, AL., James Nathan Dejarnatt of Houston, TX., Lori Ann Babin and husband Scott of Gonzales, LA., Benjamin Floyd Dejarnatt stationed in Iraq, 1 step granddaugher; Teresa O'Neill of Cassville, MO., 6 great grandchildren; Wyatt, Matt and Garrett Catron, Brianna and Brent Harlin all of Stilwell, OK., Tristan Babin of Gonzales, LA., 1 brother; James William Roberts and wife Helen Ann of Rogers, AR., several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive her.
Donations may be made in memory of Alta Mae Dejarnatt to the Alzheimer's Associations.
Funeral services were held Friday, April 18, 2008 in the First Baptist Church with Bro. Roger Haney officiating.
Intement followed in the Stilwell City Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
