Willadene Elaine Degler, daughter of James Alton and Madaline M. (Malcomb) Small, was born on September 11, 1931 in Buckhannon, West Virginia and passed from this life on Sunday, November 6, 2011 at the age of 80 years, 1 month and 25 days.
Dene loved her yard and seeing it filled with beautiful flowers and birds. She loved animals, but most of all she loved people. She was a hair dresser for 44 years. She married David Degler on July 15, 1950. Dene was a wonderful, caring wife for over 61 years, mother for 60 years, grandmother for 31 years, great grandmother for 9 years and a friend from the day she met you. She had a gift for gab and could tell you how the cow ate the cabbage. Dene had a heart of Gold. She really enjoyed spending time with her family and the many friends she made during her life here on earth. She’s a person of God and we’re sure that she is the head beautician in heaven. She will be missed by all, especially by her husband Dave. Dene will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. With much love we say Good-Bye.
Preceding her in death were her parents: James and Madaline Small.
Keeping her memory is her husband: David Degler of the home, daughter: Debbie Johnson and husband Richard, grandchildren: Shana Hall and husband Kris, Ashley Hopkins and husband Sam, all of Stilwell, OK, sisters: Loralee Monroe and husband Arnold of Marietta, OH, Carol Ann Hartman and husband Herb of Sweetwater, NJ, brother: Thom Small of Bridgeport, WV, great grandchildren: Madaline Cate, Paisley Jenae and Klaire Ann-Elaine, Emily Ashlyn.
