January 17, 1916 - November 18, 2006
Funeral service for Mary Ellen Davis will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at the Ridge Crest Baptist Church in Tulsa.
Interment will follow at the Stilwell City Cemetery in Stilwell, OK, under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Tahlequah.
Grandsons Dale Rich, Marty Davis, Dean Stephenson, and Mark Davis will serve as pallbearers. Acting as honorary pallbearers are nephews Willard Davis and Sam Center.
Mary Ellen Davis was born on January 17, 1916 near Winslow, AR, the daughter of Samuel Center and Margaret (Poor) Center.
She passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2006, at the age of 90.
Mary Center and Roy Davis were married on April 4, 1934.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Davis; her parents, Sam and Margaret Center; three brothers, Sol, Leonard and Homer; and five sisters, Eva, Lizzie, Alline, Thelma and Mae.
She is survived by her four children, Edward Davis and wife Janice of Checotah, OK, Winnie Rich of Tulsa, OK, Ruby Stephenson of Broken Arrow, OK, and Cathy Richey of Jenks, OK; fifteen grandchildren; thirty-nine great-grandchildren; ten great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, plus a host of friends and neighbors.
