John Thomas (J.T.) Dandridge
January 20, 1918 - December 13, 2006
John Thomas (J.T.) Dandridge was born on January 20, 1918 at Katie, Oklahoma to William Oscar and Ruth Lena (Blackwell) Dandridge.
He departed this life to be with his Lord and Savior on December 13, 2006 at his home at the age of 88 years, 10 months, and 23 days.
On July 11, 1936, J.T. married Bernice Black and to this union 8 children were born, 6 sons: John, William, James, Melvin, Tommy, and Freddy, 2 daughters: Sandra and Rhonda.
J.T. and Bernice were married for 62 years.
Those preceding him in death were his loving wife, Bernice Dandridge, 1 daughter: Sandra Scott, 1 son: Tommy Dandridge, 3 grandchildren: Tommy Dandridge Jr., Tonya Sanders, and Randy Scott, 1 brother: Peco Dandridge, 4 sisters: Teatsie Foster, Ruby Grimes, Cora McEver, and Betty Hawkins.
J.T. is survived by 5 sons: John and wife Earlene of Cleburne, Texas, William and wife Lee of Tulsa, Oklahoma, James and wife Glenda of Tahlequah, Oklahoma , Melvin and wife Marilyn and Freddy and wife Angie all of Stilwell, Oklahoma. 1 daughter: Rhonda Ford and husband Burl of Westville, Oklahoma, 2 sisters: Georgeta Chamberlain and Patsy Cain, 28 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Monday, December 18, 2006 at the Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Chapel with Bro. Bill Roundtree and Bro. Jimmy Essary officiating.
Interment followed in the Stilwell City Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
