Jess Christie, son of Jess and Florence (York) Christie was born October 25, 1948 in Tahlequah, OK and departed this life on December 24, 2012 in Bunch, OK at the age of 64 years, 1 month and 29 days.
He loved traveling, riding horses and dancing. He enjoyed trading and would trade anything from Horses to cars to pickups. He also enjoyed spending time with his family. He worked for the BIA for several years and for Cherokee Nation for 20 years.
Jess was preceded in death by his parents, brother; Robert Christie, and 2 sisters; Annie Christie and Lavonna Farrell.
He is survived by a very loving family that includes his wife; Margaret Christie of the home in Bunch, OK, 2 sons; Roger Dale Christie and Jeffrey Wayne Christie both of the home in Bunch, OK, step children; Alicia Eubanks and husband Brad of Hulbert, OK, Mitch DeRoin of Tahlequah, OK, 4 grandchildren, Shaleigh Christie, Cody Christie, Jasmine Christie and Ella Eubanks. 6 siblings; William Christie and wife Linda of Marble City, Ok, Mary Thompson, Jack Christie, Lonnie Christie and wife Tammie, Vicki Cox and husband Reggie, Rick Christie all of Stilwell, Ok, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive him.
Funeral services were held, Friday, December 28, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Chapel with Bro. Kevin Davis Officiating. Interment followed in the Stilwell City Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
