Robert L. “Bob” Carlile, son of John Henry and Ida Mae (Dunn) Carlile was born February 25, 1918 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and departed this life on March 6, 2014 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 96 years and 9 days.
He married Nadean Ahart and to this union 3 sons were born; Carl, Charles and Lyle. He worked for the Oklahoma State Forestry Division as a Forest Ranger for many years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting particularly quail, and loved spending time with his family.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; John and Ida Mae Carlile, brothers; Levi and Kenneth Carlile, sisters; Helen Johnson, Enez Berry, and Johnnie Mae Coleman.
He is survived by a very loving family that includes his wife of the home in Stilwell; Nadean Carlile, 3 sons; Carl Carlile and wife Rita of Amarillo, TX, Charles Carlile and wife Sandra of Hulbert, OK, and Lyle Carlile and wife Cathy of Meridian, ID, 5 grandchildren; Jon Carlile and wife Rhonda, Eric Carlile and wife Dee all of Broken Arrow, OK, Roger Carlile and wife Rita of Coppell, TX, Jeffrey Carlile and wife Erin of Amarillo, TX, Briar Carlile of Meridian, ID. 10 great grandchildren; Loren Ferguson, Erin Carlile, Allie Carlile, Zeke Carlile, Eli Carlile, Ryan Carlile, Caitlyn Carlile, Tessa Carlile, Mason Carlile and Caleb Carlile, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive him.
Funeral services were held at 10 am on Monday, March 10, 2014 at Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel with Rev. Paul Etter and Bro. Terry Mays officiating. Interment followed at Stilwell City Cemetery, Stilwell, Ok.
